Why go natural
Build green today, save tomorrow
Many green building designs, strategies, materials and practices can and do save money, because they generally reduce energy, labor and medical costs. Green buildings last longer, require fewer resources to develop, consume little energy, and are very cost-efficient to heat and cool. Resale values of green buildings are often greater than those that are conventionally built. Green products may cost more initially, but when you factor in life-cycle costs, as well as human health concerns, building with green materials often makes the most financial sense.
Green products DO make a real difference
It has been proven that the use of non-toxic materials reduces and eliminates indoor air pollution. Though whether it reduces outdoor air pollution remains to be seen, as more and more people use green building materials, many predict we will see a positive impact on the overall environment.
Though green building is a newer topic of discussion in the media, it is more developed than you may think
The design, methodologies, materials and building procedures of the natural and green building movement have been around for thousands of years. Modern technologies have made green building materials more available, useful and reliable than ever before.
It’s important to understand what you’re purchasing and supporting
Some manufacturers slightly change the ingredients of their toxic products to comply with government or other green standards so they can sell them with a green label. This "greenwashing" erodes the validity of green standards.
Natural products, on the other hand, always contain clear information about their ingredients. The need for transparent definitions of a product's "greenness" is critical to producers and consumers alike.
Jessica Goldblatt
Owner of Interiors Green
In 2000, Jessica wanted to use natural products while remodeling an old farm house. Not only was it difficult to find chemical-free products, people laughed at her requests. For thousands of years humans used natural materials for their homes, so why was it so difficult to find these materials now? She began learning and researching everything about natural living, exposing her to a whole new world of materials and a wealth of knowledge.
Inspired by what she found, she opened Interiors Green in Littleton, New Hampshire to share her expertise in natural home goods, and help others create their own healthy and beautiful indoor environment.
“This is such a unique and cool alleyway shop. It's a well-merchandised store with an unusual selection of beautiful and /or useful green products. You could meander around the three rooms and keep finding gems in every area. The atmosphere is calm and easy, and Jessie is pleasant and informative when you engage her on any of the vast variety of things she carries.”

“The highlight of Interiors Green products is their organic mattresses and bedding. Unlike memory foam and other foam mattresses that contain man-made chemicals and petrol-based foams, these mattresses are made of natural latex. It is chemical-free and continually adjusts to your body’s curves, providing a silent and undisturbed sleep. While there are eco-friendly shops online, there aren’t many stores like Interiors Green. Jessica is continuously evaluating and sourcing products that have a minimal impact on personal health and the environment.”
